OUR HISTORY

Grew up in Oregon where we learned about BBQ from the inspiration of a man.

Our family had a coffee shop, and he had a BBQ restaurant.

learning to master the art of BBQ started at a young age of 11. camping with burning fires and the smell of different smoky flavors made me think of food and how amazing it would be to smell & taste those flavors.

The day that led me to possibly opening a restaurant, I had an engine to build for my 68 Pontiac GTO. yes, at the age of 17 I had that car & I still have it to this day. That evening we had an engine to build and friends to feed.

I found this concrete cylinder at my buddy’s shop, rolled it over onto a fire pit with pine & willow wood, “ha-ha”, made it into a grill with rotisserie, smoked & grilled my first pork butt.

at the age of 18 we realized we wanted to create something different in the state I was born in. North Dakota.
